Graduate University of Science and Technology holds the first Master and Doctoral Degree Awarding Ceremony in 2023
Attending the awarding ceremony were Prof. Dr. Chu Hoang Ha - Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; and representatives of leaders of units under Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. On the side of Graduate University of Science and Technology, there were Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Lam, Director of Graduate University of Science and Technology; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuyen, Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dai Hung, Chairman of the Science and Training Council, members of the University Council, the Science and Training Council, representatives of the leaders of the faculties affiliated to the University, the partners of the University, the newly advanced PhDs, new Masters, teachers, representatives of agencies, families and friends of new Doctors and new Masters.
Opening the ceremony, the University Director, Prof. Dr. Vu Dinh Lam emphasized: “Established in 2014, the Graduate University of Science and Technology has continuously developed over the past time and achieved many encouraging successes in the career of scientific training and research. For PhD students, with the advantages of scientific research, the equipment is invested, especially the team of experienced and enthusiastic scientists and teachers from the online research institutes under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, over 90% of PhD students have scientific publications in prestigious international journals, of which there are many excellent researchers, with 4 to 5 publications in journals belonging to the SCIE system or 2 to 3 intellectual property rights. That shows that the training quality of the Graduate University of Science and Technology is increasingly improved. In this round, the Graduate University of Science and Technology awarded degrees to 52 graduate students and 32 graduate students who successfully defended their theses.”
Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Chu Hoang Ha highly appreciated the role of the Graduate University of Science and Technology in postgraduate training at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. This is also a place to train high-quality, multi-disciplinary and multi-field scientific and technological human resources at master, doctoral and post-doctoral levels; closely associate training activities with scientific research, research and development and technology transfer of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. He warmly congratulated 52 new Doctors and over 32 new Masters of Graduate University of Science and Technology. The success of the new Doctors and Masters receiving their degrees today is first and foremost the result of persistent efforts in scientific research, the contributions from their families, the support, facilitation and encouragement from agencies and colleagues. This success is not only the pride of individual new Doctors and Masters, but also the joy and pride of the training institution – Graduate University of Science and Technology.
The ceremony ended in joy, pride, happiness, with bright smiles of doctors, masters, instructors, their families, relatives, friends and colleagues.
