First Creative Festival for Youth in Central Agencies 2011
The festival drew the participation of Permanent Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Sector Le Manh Hung; representatives from the committees of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Sector and departments of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Prof. Nguyen Dinh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; and more than 400 cadres and young people from the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Sector.
The festival aimed to honour groups and individuals in scientific research movements; encourage cadres and young people in the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Sector to propose ideals, creative inventions, scientific projects; improve technique; rationalize production; master and apply science and modern technology, and contribute to socio-economic development.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Do Viet Ha, member of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and secretary of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Sector affirmed the pioneering and creative role of young people in mastering new technology and implementing politics and profession in agencies in the Committee.
The festival introduced about 100 works, including research widely applied in daily life with significant economic effect. Many projects are applied to administrative reform, contributing to improving the effectiveness of work in many agencies, such as the online data report on socio-economics in provinces and cities under the central government; the application of digital signatures and email in the system of information of the government office; research on the application of economic tools in promoting the development of environmentally friendly products in Vietnam; upholding the role of public investors in poverty alleviation in Vietnam after its entry to WTO; and research and application of natural active elements from plants in Vietnam to make environmentally friendly and safe pesticides to be applied in the future sustainable and clean agriculture in Vietnam.
During the festival, there were seminars on promoting creative invention and the indispensible way to develop intellectual economics, and on the role of youth in the Central Agencies Sector; and an exhibition on products and scientific ideals of young people in the sector.
The Standing Committee of the Youth Committee honoured eight groups for their outstanding achievements in scientific research movements and 10 outstanding research applications widely applied in daily life.
