Development Strategy of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to 2030, vision to 2045
Three key development perspectives include: (1) The development strategy of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology must be consistent with the socio-economic development strategy , the development strategy of science, technology and innovation until 2030, and the Party and State's undertakings and policies on science and technology to actively participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. (2) Develop Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to become a strong science and technology center with sustainable development; contribute to boosting the potential of science and technology, socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security. (3) Science and technology activities of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology are associated with training high-level scientific and technological human resources and innovation.
The goal is to build Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology into a leading science and technology center of Vietnam with an advanced level, one of the leading groups in the region in the fields of basic research, applied research, technology development, training high-level science and technology human resources, and being one of the leading consulting agencies of the State in policymaking, science and technology development strategy and socio-economic development of the country.
Specific goals include:
By 2030: The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology will become the leading science and technology center of the country, reaching an advanced level in Southeast Asia; a number of basic and applied research fields in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Earth Sciences reach advanced levels in Asia; improve the consulting role in the management of science and technology; formulating policies and strategies for science and technology development, socio-economic development and national defense and security.
By 2045: Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology will become a leading science and technology center in the region, in some fields, especially basic research, reaching the advanced level in Asia and the world, strongly and harmoniously developing both basic research, applied research, technology development, human resource training, fostering talents in science and technology, forming an important startup ecosystem for the whole country and the region, especially in the field of high technology. Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology has become the leading agency in consulting in planning guidelines and policies of the Vietnamese Party and Government.
