Delegation from New Zealand Ministry of Science and Technology visit and work at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology

  The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology on May 25, 2010 received the delegation of the New Zealand Ministry of Science and Technology led by Dr. Alex Malahoff.


Attending the receiving ceremony were Mr. Ninh Khac Ban - Head of the International Cooperation Department, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), Mr Alex Malahoff – Head of the New Zealand Institute of Geography – Nuclear Scientific Research, managers and scientists of the two countries.


The visit of the New Zealand Ministry of Science and Technology delegation was a good opportunity for managers, scientists from the New Zealand and VAST to exchange, explore possibilities for cooperation in the future. After listening to the functions, tasks and scientific and technological activities of VAST, speaking at the meeting, Dr Alex Malahoff congratulated the scientific and technological achievements of VAST and expressed his interest in researches on nuclear power, water resources, environment, agriculture biology and mathematics.



Dr. Ninh Khac Ban appreciated the visit to VAST by the New Zealand Ministry of Science and Technology and expressed the desire to collaborate in the fields of science and technology which both sides have mutual interests.

Ending the official meeting, the delegation of the New Zealand Ministry of Science and Technology visited and met with scientists at the Institutes under the VAST such as the Institute of Geophysics, Institute of Materials Science, Institute of Environmental Technology, Institute of Geology and Marine Geophysics, and Institute of Energy.
