Decision announced appointing and re-appointing leaders of specialized units to assist VAST President

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh – VAST Vice President; representatives of leaders of specialized units assisting the VAST President; leaders of the Institute of Marine Biochemistry, the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment; Assc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Phong - Former Acting Head of Planning and Finance Department; individuals appointed and reappointed and all officers and employees of the Technology Application and Deployment Department, the Planning and Finance Department, and the Office. Assc. Prof. Dr. Ha Quy Quynh, Head of the Department of Organization, Personnel and Inspection, announced the Decisions on appointment and reappointment, including:

• Decision 456/QD-VHL dated March 15, 2024 of the President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology appointing Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Doctor, Principal Researcher, Deputy Director of the Institute of Marine Biochemistry to work at the Planning - Finance Department and appointing Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam to the position of Head of the Planning - Finance Department for a term. The decision takes effect from April 1, 2024.
• Decision 268/QD-VHL dated February 21, 2024 of the President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology re-appointing Ms. Chu Thi Hoai Thu, Master, Principal Specialist to the position of Deputy Chief of Office for a term. The decision takes effect from March 1, 2024.
• Decision 549/QD-VHL dated March 29, 2024 of the President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology appointing for a term Mr. Nguyen Tran Dien, Doctor, Senior Expert, Deputy Head of the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment, to work at the Technology Application and Deployment Department and appointed Mr. Nguyen Tran Dien to the position of Deputy Head of the Technology Application and Deployment Department for a term. The decision takes effect from April 1, 2024.

On behalf of the VAST Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh handed over the Decision, presented flowers to the appointed and re-appointed comrades, and presented flowers to thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Phong - Former Acting Head of Planning and Finance Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, VAST Vice President, congratulated the appointed and reappointed comrades on receiving the trust of the Academy's Board of Directors and the trust of the collective. He expressed his hope that the comrades will strive to complete the assigned tasks well, continuing the tradition of solidarity and close coordination between units to help the smooth management of the Academy, contributing to the development of the unit and the Academy. He also congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Phong for having successfully completed his assigned tasks as Acting Head of the Planning and Finance Department.

Representing the appointed and reappointed comrades, Dr. Nguyen Hoai Nam thanked the Academy's Board of Directors, the unit's leaders as well as the collective staff and colleagues for their trust and confidence, and expressed his determination to do his best to complete the task well.
