Congratulating VAST teachers recognized as Professor and Associate Professor

On November 3rd 2011, the State Professor Title Council issued Decision 117/2011/QĐ-HĐCDGSNN to recognize those meeting the criterion for the titles of professor, 34 teachers and associate professor, 274 teachers. Two teachers from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) were recognized to meet the criteria of professor, and 11 teachers the associate professor title. This recognized the constant contribution of scientists from VAST for the cause of national science and technology development and training.

On February 7th, 2012, VAST held a ceremony to congratulate teachers recognized as meeting the criteria for the professor and associate professor titles in 2011.

Prof. Chau Van Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, secretary of VAST Party Committee secretary and VAST president; Prof. Duong Ngoc Hai, vice secretary of VAST Party Committee and VAST vice president; Prof. Nguyen Dinh Cong, VAST vice president; Prof. Prof. Ha Duy Ngo, permanent vice secretary of VAST Party Committee, and leaders from units that assist VAST president and institutes, and scientists took part in the ceremony recognizing those granted the title of professor and associate professor.

At the ceremony, Prof. Chau Van Minh, VAST president, presented flowers to congratulate two scientists being granted the title professor and 11 scientists granted the title of associate professor.

VAST president asked newly recognized professors and associate professors to continue developing their academic prowess and contributing to the institute’s development. He hoped that the institute would have more scientists meeting these criteria, and those for other recognitions.

On behalf of scientists recognized this time, Prof. Nguyen Quang Liem and Assoc. Prof. Phan Thi Ha Duong thanked the institute for creating a good working environment and passing policies to encourage scientists to promote their capacity for the cause of scientific research, technology application and training. Scientists also expressed their hopes to continue receiving cooperation and assistance from colleagues and care from the academy leaders so that they could further promote their capacity in basic scientific development and application, and young cadre training in the academy, contributing to national industrialization and modernization.
