Conference on Earth Sciences and Sustainable Development

The conference drew considerable interest and participation from numerous administrators and scientists from domestic and international research institutes, universities, and academic institutions.

Over the past 50 years, through continuous and dedicated efforts of generations of staff and scientists, the Earth Sciences sector of the Academy has consistently affirmed its leading position in Earth sciences research in Vietnam.

At the event, scientists presented their research findings on various topics within the field of Earth sciences, addressing emerging challenges and proposing future solutions. The conference proceedings included 25 scientific papers and 13 abstracts, featuring research on geological, geophysical and environmental surveys in Vietnam in service of sustainable development; findings and development directions for geophysical observation technologies; remote sensing technologies in geographical research; and the current status and development orientation of the Vietnam National Museum of Nature system.

The conference aimed to share research experiences and scientific results while promoting cooperation among specialised institutes within the Academy and across national research organisations and institutions. It also served as an opportunity to reflect on past achievements, identify current opportunities and challenges, and set out strategic directions for the future development of the sector, thereby contributing to the country’s sustainable socio-economic development in the new era, the era of rising.
