Closing ceremony of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Football Tournament in the Northern region in 2024
Attending the final match and closing ceremony of VAST Football Tournament in the Northern region in 2024, on VAST side, there were comrade Pham Tuan Huy, Permanent Deputy Secretary of VAST Party Committee; Comrade Chu Hoang Ha, Vice President of the VAST; Comrade Tran Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Chief of the Academy Party Committee Office; Comrade Hoang Xuan Thuy, Deputy Chief of VAST Office; Comrade Phan Ke Long, Vice Chairman of VAST Trade Union; and leaders of units under VAST.
On the side of VAST Youth Union, there was comrade Phan Ke Son, Member of the Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Central Agencies Bloc, and Secretary of VAST Youth Union; Comrade Dang Quoc Dai, Deputy Secretary of VAST Youth Union and comrades in the Standing Committee of VAST Youth Union and the Organizing Committee of VAST Football Tournament 2024.
There was also the presence of the referee team running the tournament, representatives of teams participating in the tournament, athletes and fans.
The even match between the two strongest teams of the tournament brought the audience great experiences. The final victory belonged to the Institute of Biotechnology team with a score of 4-3 on penalty kicks, after the end of two official periods with a score of 0-0.
The tournament ended after 20 days of organization with 25 matches of 18 teams from 22 units under VAST in Hanoi. The 2024 Championship Cup belongs to the Institute of Biotechnology football team; Second prize went to the Newtatco Company football team; 02 Third Prizes went to the team of the Institute of Science, Technology, Energy and Environment, the Joint team of Military Institute of Space Technology and Institute of Mathematics; four Consolation prizes for the Institute of Materials Science football team, the Institute of Physics football team, the Institute of Geology football team, and the Joint team of Military Institute of Information Technology and the Institute of Mechanics.
The top scorer of the tournament was awarded to three players Dang Minh Tuan from the Institute of Geology, Pham Hong Quan from the Institute of Space Technology and Phan Quyen from the Institute of Biotechnology.
