Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Phan Ngoc Minh, VAST Vice President, Director of the Graduate University of Science and Technology, expressed his happiness and warmly congratulated the teachers who were recognized Professors and Associate Professors. The Professor wished the teachers good health, and to continue to promote their intellectual contribution to science and technology as well as education and training. This is the result of training efforts of teachers over many years before being recognized Professors and Associate Professors by State Council for Professor Title of Vietnam after many rounds of evaluation. Professor Phan Ngoc Minh emphasized that, with the function and mission of training and granting master and doctoral degrees in science and technology, as well as post-doctoral training, the Graduate University of Science and Technology has many advantages.
Firstly, it inherits a team of highly qualified scientists (in particular, in 2017, there were nearly 45 Professors and Associate Professors appointed, bringing the total number of Professors and Associate Professors to nearly 300). Secondly, it conducts training on the basis of the laboratory system, the infrastructure for research equipped for many years by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, this is one of the important factors contributing to the quality of the graduate university’s training. Thirdly, the Graduate University of Science and Technology and the Vietnam – France University have worked closely together and made progress in managing postgraduate training and maintaining the quality of training under the brand name of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The newly appointed professors and associate professors not only participate in teaching at the Graduate University, but also teaching at the educational institutions of the Vietnam – France University as well as educational and training foundations across the country.
Prof. Dr. Phan Ngoc Minh, VAST Vice President, Director of the Graduate University of Science and Technology, addresses the ceremony.
On behalf of the Graduate University of Science and Technology, Prof Phan Ngoc Minh promised to work closely with the Vietnam – France University and teachers of the Graduate University of Science and Technology to find solutions to increase postgraduate training, and promote the strength of the Graduate University in particular and of VAST in general.
