Activity "Green Sunday"

Participating in "Green Sunday" Quarter I/2024 were Mr. Phan Ke Son, Member of the Executive Committee of the Union of Central Agencies, Secretary of the Youth Union; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Youth Union, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union in the Hanoi area and nearly 100 comrades and youth members of the Youth Union's affiliated organizations in the Hanoi area.

The Institute's Youth Union coordinated to carry out activities such as: cleaning, sweeping the entire area in front of the Central building and A1 building, cleaning the lake in front of A2 building, and collecting plastic waste,... at headquarters 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay, Hanoi. The "Green Sunday" activity took place in an enthusiastic atmosphere, an opportunity for youth union members to exchange and improve the self-awareness and responsibility of each union member and youth in the Institute. On environmental protection, while promoting the spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and creativity of VAST's youth in maintaining hygiene and protecting the environment; create a vibrant emulation movement for the Youth Union organization to participate in building a "Green - Clean - Beautiful" working environment.

This is also one of a series of activities of the Institute Youth Union towards the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (May 20, 1975 - May 20, 2025).

After the launching ceremony of "Green Sunday" in the first quarter of 2024, the Youth Union launched the "Green Sunday" movement to affiliated units and organizations of the Youth Union, proactively propagating and mobilizing officials and union members. Young people actively participate in activities to maintain environmental hygiene and landscape around the unit, spreading "Green Sunday" activities to become more and more profound, substantive and sustainable.
