8th meeting of VAST Party Committee Executive Board: Results of work in first quarter and key tasks for second quarter of 2022
Comrade Chau Van Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of VAST Party Committee and President of VAST, attended and chaired the meeting. The event also drew the participation of members of the Executive Board of VAST Party Committee in the northern region. Members of the Executive Board of VAST Party Committee in Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh City participated in the event online.
Overview of the Conference
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, comrade Chau Van Minh said that in the first quarter of 2022, despite being greatly affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, VAST Party Committee and VAST leaders led and directed Party organizations, party members and cadres to well perform political tasks, scientific research and technology deployment, and have achieved many remarkable results.
At the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of VAST Pham Tuan Huy presented the draft report on the results of the first quarter, and the key tasks of the second quarter of 2022 of VAST Party Committee. The draft report outlines the basic contents of leadership results in implementing political tasks, including ideological and political leadership; scientific research work; technology deployment, application of research results into daily life production; international cooperation, information and publication; inspection, supervision and leadership of mass organizations and the masses. The draft report was also discussed by the Standing Board of VAST Party Committee.
100% of the delegates voted to approve the draft report on the results of the Party's work in the first quarter, the key tasks of the work in the second quarter of 2022; Approved the Draft Resolution on the organization and arrangement of the apparatus to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the units under VAST, in line with the trend the industrial revolution 4.0; Approved the Report on the results of the 5-year summary of the implementation of Resolution 74-NQ/DUVHL "on strengthening the Party's leadership in youth work in the 2016-2020 period"; and approved the Resolution of the Eighth Executive Committee Meeting. At the conference, the delegates also voted to supplement the planning of the Standing Board of VAST Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Concluding the Conference, the Secretary of VAST Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the concentration in leadership and direction of the comrades in the Standing Board and Executive Board of VAST Party Committee in the first quarter of the past year, especially in the context of the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic with many difficulties and challenges. He also suggested that each comrade of the Standing Board and the Executive Board of VAST Party Committee within the scope of assigned functions and tasks, continue to promote, focus and deepen further direction and administration to successfully complete the tasks in the second quarter of 2022.
