7th Conference of the Asian Society of Arachnology

With the permission of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the Vietnam National Museum of Nature presided over and cooperated with the Asian Society of Arachnology (ASA) to successfully organize the 7th Conference of the Asian Society of Arachnology at Cuc Phuong National Park, the northern province of Ninh Binh, from October 17 to 22, 2022.

The conference is held every two years, attracting the participation of scientists who study arachnology in Asian and other parts of the world. The 7th Conference in Vietnam drew the participation of 55 scientists, including 47 foreign delegates from 8 countries, including Japan, Thailand, Singapore, India, Germany, Czech Republic, Australia and Poland.

The conference had 45 oral presentations and posters, divided into 5 main topics, including Systematics, Phylogeny and Biogeography, Ecology, Behavior and Molecular mechanisms.

Arachnology Research is a new scientific field in Vietnam. The organization of the 7th ASA Conference is not only a significant scientific event but also a good opportunity for Vietnamese arachnologists to exchange experiences in the field of in-depth research.

The 7th ASA Conference is an important milestone, on the occasion of 10th anniversary of the Asian Society of Arachnology, and the International year of Basic Science for Sustainable Development 2022.
