4th "Green Sunday" 2023 launched

The event drew the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of VAST Party Committee and Vice President of VAST; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Tam, Vice Chairwoman of VAST Trade Union; Ms. Tran Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Chief of the Office of VAST Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Xuan Thuy, Deputy Chief of the VAST Office; Mr. Phan Ke Son, member of the Executive Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc Youth Union; comrades in the Standing Committee of the VAST Youth Union, comrades in and Executive Committee of VAST Youth Union in Hanoi and nearly 100 members of youth unions in Hanoi.

Activities in the “Green Sunday” programme included cleaning the front of the Center building and A1 building, cleaning the lake bed in front of A2 building, and collecting plastic waste at the office at 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay, Hanoi. "Green Sunday" took place in a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere. It was an opportunity for youth union members to exchange and improve the self-discipline and responsibility of each cadre, union member, and youth in the Academy in environmental protection; promote the spirit of volunteerism and creativity of the VAST Youth Union in preserving hygiene and protecting the environment; and create an exciting emulation movement of the Union participating in building a "Green - Clean - Beautiful" working environment.

This is also one of the activities of the VAST Youth Union to celebrate the 50th anniversary of VAST (May 20, 1975 - May 20, 2025). After the launching ceremony, the VAST Youth Union launched the "Green Sunday" movement to its attached units and organizations, encouraged youth union members actively participate in activities to preserve the environment and landscape around the unit, spreading the "Green Sunday" activity more and more deeply, substantively and sustainably.
