4th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology: Determining key tasks of the Youth Union and Youth Movement in 2023

On February 15, 2023, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) held its 4th Congress. Comrade Phan Ke Son, Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Central Agencies and Secretary of the VAST Youth Union, presided over the Conference, with the participation of comrades of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of VAST.

At the conference, the delegates listened to the draft program of union affairs and youth movement in 2023. The conference spent time discussing and receiving many comments from comrades in the Executive Committee on the advantages and difficulties, operation of grassroots unions and general activities of the VAST Youth Union, as well as solutions in the future.

The conference identified a number of key tasks in 2023 as follows:
- Organize conferences to thoroughly grasp the resolutions of congresses at all levels.
- Organize Sports Tournaments to celebrate the 48th founding anniversary of VAST (May 18) in two regions of the North and the South.
- Organize a program to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's founding day (March 16).
- Deploy youth scientific conference.
- Organize extracurricular political activities.
- Coordinate with other youth unions to carry out activities.
- Respond to movements and activities launched by the VAST Party Committee, VAST leaders, trade union and upper-level Youth Union.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Phan Ke Son, member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Central Agencies and Secretary of VAST Youth Union, emphasized that 2023 is the first year to implement the Resolution of the Youth Union at all levels and the 7^th Resolution of the VAST Youth union, term 2022 - 2027. Therefore, the VAST Youth Union and its affiliates should continue to pay attention to promoting the political and ideological education of Youth Union members, continue to overcome difficulties and limitations, and further improve the quality and effectiveness of youth movements throughout VAST.
