30 years of scientific cooperation between Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the National Centre for Scientific Research
VAST delegation participated in the ceremony to mark 30 years of VAST – CNRS cooperation in Paris in July 2013
This is an important event in the Vietnam – France exchange year to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam – France diplomatic ties. The event showed the close cooperation between the two leading scientific agencies of the two countries. The highlight of the event was the two speeches delivered by the presidents of VAST and CNRS, which appreciated the results of Vietnamese and French scientists over the past 30 years. Especially, presentations by scientists from institutes under VAST and CNRS on obtained results in bilateral projects, as well as lights in 14 Do Son France – Vietnam training courses, left a deep impression about the effective cooperation and efforts of scientists from VAST and CNRS.

VAST president, Prof. Chau Van Minh and CNRS president, Prof. Alain Fuchs, appreciated the close cooperation between VAST and CNRS
The signing ceremony on the International Associated Laboratories (LIA) project on FOCOMAT took place during the event, under the witness of scientists from VAST and CNRS. To promote effective cooperation between VAST, CNRS and other French scientific agencies, CNRS took the VAST delegation to pay a working visit to the France Academy of Science, Paris Natural Historical Museum, as well as laboratories in material sciences, natural products chemistry, physics and material erosion.
