13th International Conference on Photonics and Applications (ICPA-13)
The conference has become a prestigious scientific forum, a meeting place for international and Vietnamese scientists in the fields of optics, spectroscopy; photonics and applications. This is an opportunity for scientists to introduce the latest research results that are of interest to the global scientific community, while promoting the construction and development of international research topics and cooperation programs.
This year, the 13th International Conference on Photonics and Applications (ICPA-13) was held at the Institute of Physics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology from October 14, 2024 to October 17, 2024. ICPA-13 brings together nearly 250 scientists from 13 countries and territories around the world: Japan, France, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Belarus, Australia, India, Taiwan (China), Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.
ICPA-13 has 175 scientific reports presented directly at the Conference, including 65 oral reports and 110 hanging reports divided into six subcommittees with scientific topics such as: Optics, Spectroscopy and Laser; Photonics (nanophotonics, components, devices, materials, modeling); Solid state optics and nanostructured materials; Optical, spectral and laser applications; Optical devices and components, Nonlinear optics, Fiber laser technology.
Through the discussion and exchange sessions at the conference, many international cooperation ideas were initiated, contributing to improving the level and capacity of scientific research not only for domestic scientists but also for scientists around the world. In addition, with modern and updated topics, ICPA-13 creates opportunities for young scientists to exchange and learn from the world's leading experts in the field of photonics and applications. This helps to assess the development level of the industry and identify the necessary conditions to promote the development of this field in Vietnam in the coming time. In particular, the delegation of scientists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research - JINR (Dubna, Russia) presented reports on the latest research results and participated in roundtable discussions with scientists to strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and JINR as well as the participation of scientists in the region and internationally.
After four days of active and exciting work, ICPA - 13 has ended successfully, leaving deep impressions about the people and country of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends. This event has gradually affirmed its important role and become a meeting place expected by the domestic and international scientific research community in the field of Photonics, Optics and Applications. The success of ICPA - 13 has made an important contribution to enhancing our position in scientific research and our ability to organize world-class international conferences with international friends.
