Also in the event "Mathematics for everyone", in the afternoon two public lectures were introduced to attendees, including:
1) Lecture: "Thresholds of discrete random structures" by Dr. Ngo Trung Hieu (Department of Number Theory, Institute of Mathematics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology). The lecture is designed to find answers to the questions: is the stochastic process truly random? What is probability? Can structure be found in random things?... In addition, the lecture also wants to introduce the outstanding ideas surrounding the Kahn-Kalai problem and the unique solution of Jinyoung and Pham Tuan Huy related to the thresholds selected for the appearance of structure in a random phenomenon.
2) Lecture: “The math behind artificial intelligence models” by Dr. Nguyen Quy Ha (CEO of Vingroup Big Data Research Institute, concurrently Product Director of VinBigData Joint Stock Company). The lecture introduces some basic mathematical concepts used as bricks to build modern artificial intelligence models: neural network architecture, loss function, optimization method. Besides, the lecture also suggests some open research directions that require rigorous mathematical theories.

In parallel with the above activities are two contents throughout the day, including Fair and Book Exhibition of the Information and Documentation Center, Alpha Book; and Mathematical Moments poster exhibition, each poster is a short article about the applications of mathematics in the life around us.
