Goal and objectives of the project

General objectives:
Research and complete the equipment and process of drying some agricultural products and medicinal herbs with high economic value using heat pumps with a heating support system using renewable energy sources and the process of processing soursop tea, ginseng; health protection food from soursop fruit extract combined with some other medicinal herbs; technology transfer; support for startups in Dak Lak province.
Specific objectives:
- Completed design and manufacturing of drying equipment using heat pumps with heating support systems using biomass and solar energy, capable of drying a variety of agricultural products and medicinal herbs; reducing energy costs compared to drying equipment using heat pumps and heating support using thermal resistors.
- Develop drying processes for some typical agricultural and medicinal products with high economic value (mango, soursop, sliced turmeric, sliced ginseng root, ginseng leaves);
- Complete the process of processing soursop and ginseng tea; trial production of soursop and ginseng tea and some mixed medicinal herbs to make health protection food to restore health and lose weight).
+ Develop a process for producing tea from soursop, ginseng, lotus leaves, and noni fruit.
+ Research on the mixing ratio to create instant tea and health protection food in hard capsule form from soursop extract, ginseng extract, noni fruit extract, lotus leaf extract to support weight loss.
- Perfecting the technological process of processing health protection foods from synthetic extracts from soursop combined with some other medicinal herbs.
- Support start-up for 01 enterprise or business household in Dak Lak province.

Main results

-    About science results:
+ Completed the design and manufacturing of a drying equipment using a heat pump with a heating support system using biomass and solar energy, capable of drying a variety of agricultural products and medicinal herbs; reducing energy costs compared to drying equipment using a heat pump and heating support using a thermal resistor by 13.3%;
+ Developed drying processes for some typical agricultural and medicinal products with high economic value (mango, soursop, sliced turmeric, sliced ginseng root, ginseng leaves);
+ Complete the process of processing soursop and ginseng tea; test production of soursop and ginseng tea and some mixed medicinal herbs to make health protection food to restore health and lose weight.
-    About the application results:
+ Supported 01 start-up business household (Tri Uyen medicinal agricultural products business household)
+ Tested drying of 05 types of agricultural products/medicinal herbs and 01 type of tea bag, 01 type of tablet as health protection support food.

The system has been installed and operated at the Buon Ma Thuot Center for Science and Technology Application (Group 9, Tan Loi Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province), under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. -    The filter bag tea product has been announced by Tri Uyen Business Household for product standards and has been registered with the Ministry of Health.
-    The Naburn Detox capsule product has been announced by Tri Uyen Business Household for product standards. This product has been registered with the Ministry of Health.
-    The products listed in Table 2 have been fully evaluated and accepted by the Provincial Acceptance Evaluation Council (Dak Lak Province) in terms of quantity, type, and weight compared to the order (with attached minutes)
