Goal and objectives of the project | Obtain a united, synchronized, and up-to-date GIS database of the features and susceptibility of ecosystems in the Pu Mat National Park area. |
Main results | - Theoretical results: The project achieved some outcomes, such as: + Gathered survey data on ecosystem vulnerability and natural disasters in three districts within the Pu Mat National Park area (including, Anh Son, Con Cuong, and Tuong Duong districts). + Investigated and assessed the characteristics of Pu Mat National Park's ecosystems; + Investigated and evaluated the rate of ecosystem vulnerability caused by the effects of social and economic development, and natural disasters, and created the Mapping System; + Proposed solutions to reduce ecological vulnerability to preserve ecosystem diversity in Pu Mat National Park. + Created a GIS database that combined the project's findings, consisting of 33 maps categorised into 4 groups: base data group (5 maps); natural conditions data group (10 maps); environmental hazard data group (06 maps); and ecosystem vulnerability data group (12 maps). +About the application: The results of the project provide the scientific basis for assessing and proposing ways to lessen ecosystem risk in the Pu Mat National Park area. |
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results | - Investigate and update data and information on ecosystem vulnerability in the Pu Mat National Park area as it relates to socioeconomics and natural disasters. |
