Project duration 01/01/2022 - 31/12/2023
Project’s budget 200 million VND
Classify Excellent
Goal and objectives of the project

- Design and simulate metal structures with periodic arrangements creating surface plasmon resonance effects.
- Fabrication of ordered metal structures to develop refractive index sensor  in the near infrared region (800 - 2000 nm).

Main results

- Design and simulate a metal structure with a periodic arrangement with the following structural parameters: metal disk diameter D, period P, metal disk height h and dielectric layer thickness t. Investigation with optimal parameters shows that the structure has a surface plasmon enhancement effect at the near infrared wavelength region.
- Investigation the optical properties of the periodic arrangement structure orients for applications in refractive index sensor  and near infrared fluorescence enhancement.
- Fabrication of the ordered Ag nanostructures by 3D laser direct writing lithography combining with sputtering method.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

- The project implementation team has established (substantive) scientific cooperation with partners at the Institute of Belarusian University of Informatics and Electronics on prototyping and experimental measurements of micro/nano structure devices, helps diversify and improve the quality of our collective research at the Institute of Materials Science.
- Method of simulating and manufacturing ordered metal nanostructures is unique. Capable of manufacturing small series of plasmonics nano sensor components for applications in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry and the environment.
