* About the current state of natural distribution:
+ Current status of natural distribution of Panax stipuleanatus: Recorded 21 populations of this specie, mainly growing under the canopy of mixed vegetation of subtropical broad-leaved trees from an altitude of 1.300-1.800 m, with a slope of 12 -16%, 1/3 from base to top
+ Current status of natural distribution of Lonicera hildebrandiana: Recorded 77 populations of this specie, in rocky mountain forests mixed with soil at altitudes from 1.000 – 1.600 m.
* About ecological characteristics
+ Panax stipuleanatus: This specie grows well in the following ecological conditions: air temperature from 5 - 180C; humidity is 70 - 92%, relative light intensity ranges from 0,0011-0,0223; Soil has pH value 3,94±0,08; Total K2O 9411,93 ± 261,61(mg/kg); Total nitrogen 0,28±0,06; Fe+2 content 27242,23±5987,58 (mg/kg), total P 0,33± 0,05%; and total organic carbon (humus) 4,97±0,98 (%); Calcium exchangeable Ca2+ ranges from 4,84±1,33(Cmol+/kg), exchangeable Magnesium (Mg2+) ranges from 1,71±0,29 (Cmol+/kg).
+ Lonicera hildebrandiana: It grows well in the following ecological conditions: Relative light intensity ranges from 0,0031 - 0,42851; Air temperature ranges from 17,6-23,3oC; Air humidity is about 62-73,3%, rainfall is 26 -780 mm and sunshine hours are 92-230 hours, soil has a pH value of 3,94±0,02; Total K2O 9411,93 ± 261,61(mg/kg), digestible K20 88,99±13,76; Easily digestible nitrogen 3,85±0,29 (mg/100g); Total nitrogen 0,27±0,02; Fe+2 content 30310,61±1956,12 (mg/kg), total P 0,33%; Total N 0,28% and total organic carbon (humus) 4,84±0,27 (%); Calcium exchangeable Ca2+ ranges from 5,33±0,40 (Cmol+/kg), exchangeable Magnesium (Mg2+) ranges from 1,90±0,11 (Cmaol+/kg).
* About the technical breeding process
+ Panax stipuleanatus: Sterilize the culture sample, (HgCl2) 0,1% MS supplemented with Riboflavin 0,15 mg/liter, Biotin 0,1 mg/liter, sugar 30 g/liter, Agar-Agar 6 g /liter, and Polyvinyl pyrroline (PVP) 1 g/liter, Adjust pH = 5,8); Rapid multiplication of shoot bodies (Agar - Agar 5,5g/liter, 0,2 mg/l kinetine, BAP (Benzylamino purine) 1,0 mg/liter, pH to 5,8); Stimulates shoot growth (5,4g/liter agar, 30g/liter sugar, 0,2 mg/l kinetine, 1,5 mg/liter BAP, pH to 5,8); Formation and stimulation of root growth (7g/liter Agar-Agar, 2,0 mg/liter IBA, 15g/liter sugar and 1 g/liter PVP); Testing of Panax stipuleanatus growing medium (humidity 85%, shade 65%);

* About the planting and care process
+ Panax stipuleanatus: Planting season from March to June; air humidity >90%, morning from 5-9am; afternoon 3-6pm; moist soil (wet to touch); light or medium meat; 1,500-2000 m; foot of slope (2-15m); East slope; The soil is loosened; forests with 2-3 canopy layers or more; Fertilize and check for pests according to schedule (3-4 times/year).
+ Lonicera hildebrandiana: Planting season in March-June (best suited for March); Suitable soil for planting is yellow-brown Feralit) with medium texture, sloping mountainous terrain of 1000-1600 m, where there is a lot of light, the soil is also loosened, sterilized, mixed with fertilizer, the forest is sparse to restore the trees. best chief; Fertilize and check according to schedule
* About the models
+ Panax stipuleanatus: Planted into natural forests in 3 provinces of Lai Chau (Nam Nhun); Lao Cai (Sa Pa); Ha Giang (Vi Xuyen); Monitoring results show that the model in Sa Pa Lao Cai grows best (survival rate is over 85%).
+ Lonicera hildebrandiana: Unlike Panax stipuleanatus, Lonicera hildebrandiana is a climbing plant that loves moisture and light, so it is often distributed along secondary forests, cliffs, and covering bushes. Monitoring results show that the modesl in Ban Khoang area, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province has the best growth and development.
* On the issue of proposing policy mechanisms for conservation and development of Panax stipuleanatus and Lonicera hildebrandiana.
+ Currently, these two species propagate from seed very easily, and have been successfully propagated by tissue culture method. Therefore, there should be policies to encourage people and businesses to register to grow and develop this species in areas similar to ecological zones allowed for production such as production forests and communal forests.
* Regarding classification regulations: Based on data on the current natural distribution status of Panax stipuleanatus, the classification level of this species should be: A1c,d, B1+2b,c,e; and of the large-leaved Honeysuckle species, the classification level of this species should be: CR A1ad + B1 +2a,b. |
| Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results | The task has identified the ecological region characteristics of the natural distribution area of the two species; Successfully propagated by invitro method; In particular, we have successfully implemented a two-species conservation model with a scale of 0.5 - 1.5 hectares (under the natural forest canopy). |
