Goal and objectives of the project

The main objective of this project is successfully synthesize mononuclear and multinuclear complexes of group d transition metals with flexible ligands containing derivatives of azometine and hydrazone base on spiropyran.  
Training staff, helping Vietnamese research groups have access to new research fields and advanced equipment in the world.

Main results

Complexes have synthesized with transition metal ions Cu, Co, Ni by chemical synthesis method. The characteristics and properties of the synthesized complexes were evaluated by modern methods: FTIR, UV-Vis, NMR,... Especially, the biological activity of the complexes was evaluated by the DPPH method and testing cell toxicity.
Strengthen cooperation in scientific research and training between the Institute of Tropical Technology and research and training facilities at the Southern Federal University.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

Complexes with transition metal ions Cu, Co, Ni have been synthesized by chemical synthesis and evaluated their characteristics, properties and biological activities.

Recommendations

The project has synthesized complexes with transition metal ions Cu, Co, Ni by chemical synthesis method and evaluated their characteristics, properties and biological activity. Through the project, the research group cooperated with the Southern Federal University and improved their skills in complex synthesis. We hope that Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology will accept the project and support it to continue developing this cooperation.
