Goal and objectives of the project | - Isolation and identification of anti-sarcopenia constitutents from Schisandra species growing in Vietnam |
Main results | - Preparation of methanol extract and screening anti-sarcopenia activity of 4 Schisandra species including S. chinensis, S. sphenanthra, S. perulata, and S. cauliflora. Based on screening results, the fruits of S. cauliflora was selected for further investigation. |
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results | - This is the first study on chemical constitutents of the fruits of Schisandra cauliflora, an endemic plant of Vietnam and newly Schisandra species. |
Products of the project | - Publications: 01 SCIE indexed journal |
Recommendations | - Futher study on chemical constitutents of S. caulifora and other popular Schisandra species in Vietnam should be done to identify anti-sacopenia agents |
