Goal and objectives of the project The project has 3 main objectives:
- Organizing a survey trip aboard Academic Oparin in Vietnamese waters,
- Organizing scientific seminars after the survey trip,
- Building a database on marine biodiversity and biochemistry for archiving and document retrieval.
Main results

- Successfully organized a survey trip on research vessel Academic Oparin in Vietnamese waters, ensuring safety, lawful, security, maritime, national defense.... Completed 92.6% of the expected site while shortening the survey time to 20 days.
- Successfully organized an international online scientific conference after the survey trip with the participation of 30 scientists from research institutes under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
- Build a database for research results of scientific research cooperation between VAST and FEB RAS aboard Academic Oparin. This database can update, edit and look up research results so far.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

- Strengthening cooperation relations between institutes of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and institutes of the Far Eastern Branch.
- Collected over 2096 samples (including coral reef and deep sea samples) for in-depth research.

Products of the project - All specimens collected during the survey have been handed over to component projects.
- Database of research results in cooperation activities between VAST - FEB RAS.
Recommendations

In order for the survey and sample collection on the seas of Vietnam to be favorable and not greatly affected by weather factors and sea waves, survey trips should be conducted from May to June every year.
