Goal and objectives of the project

- Synthesizing TiO2 photocatalyst systems immobilized on porous inorganic carriers such as MQTB SBA-15, M41S material with high activity in the decomposition reaction of some pharmaceuticals.
- Evaluating the factors on the properties of the catalytic materials and the factors affecting the treatment efficiency of some research pharmaceuticals.
- Evaluating the treatment efficiency of these pharmaceuticals on the MBR treatment system combined with AOPs using synthetic catalyst materials.

Main results
- Theoretical results: Successfully researched and fabricated the mesoporous TiO2 material with specific surface area of 181 m2/g; TiO2-SBA-15 material has a specific surface area of 880 m2/g and TiO2-MCM-41 material has a specific surface area of 930 m2/g. The influence factors and treatment efficiency of MBR system combined with AOPs have been evaluated on the treatment efficiency of Paracetamol, Diclofenac, Norfloxacin in wastewater.
- Applied results: The results of the project will contribute to increasing the efficiency of water use and reducing water treatment costs towards sustainable production, it is necessary to develop integrated wastewater treatment technologies can achieve higher post-treatment water quality, creating the possibility for post-treatment water reuse.
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results
- Fabricated materials TiO2-SBA-15 and materials TiO2-MCM-41 suitable for wastewater treatment containing pharmaceuticals.
- Developed a process to treat wastewater containing pharmaceuticals by integrating MBR and AOP technology using photocatalysts.
