Goal and objectives of the project | - Study on fabrication of the high-entropy alloys with higher thermal resistance than the Ni alloys.
- To grasp the fabricated technique of alloys with working condition at high temperature, application for a nuber of defense industries.
- Enhance research capacity of Institute of Materials Science through cooperation with KAIST, a leading research center in Korea. |
Main results | The series of AlxNbCrMoV (x: 0; 0.1; 0.5 and 1) high-entropy alloys were fabricated by high-energy planetary ball milling with combination of sintered by hot isostatic pressing (HIP) technique using low carbon steel cans or spark plasma sintering (SPS). |

Recommendations | From the research results obtained above, which is shown that high entropy materials have potential in practical applications. However, more research is needed, especially measurements at high temperatures to evaluate the heat resistance to guide practical applications. Therefore, the collective proposes to consider to be able to continue developing this research direction. |
