Goal and objectives of the project

Applying modern technologies to build the process of isolation and creation of Murrayafoline A - rich funtional foods that have the effect of preventing and supporting the treatment of cancer from Glycosmis stenocarpa of Vietnam.

Main results

- Having researched the construction of Murrayafoline A quantitative methods by HPLC method. On that basis, the content of Murrayafoline A determined in the Glycosmis stenocarpa root was 0.38 - 0.40%
- Having researched the construction of  technological process to isolate Murrayafoline A according to conventional chemical methods with 70% efficiency and product purity reaches > 95%
- Having researched the application of advanced and modern techniques such as using ultrasound in combination with enzyme  to hydrolyse raw material, use steam to enrich the product .... in the process of production Murrayafoline A products from Glycosmis stenocarpa . In which, ultrasound techniques combine enzymes for high efficiency when reducing hydrolysis time, completely releasing secondary compounds including Murrayafoline A into a free form. Thereby helping the product recovery efficiency increased to > 90% and product purity reached> 98%
- Murrayafoline A nanoliposome  has been researched with an average size of 101.18 ± 3.26 nm; PDI = 0.139 ± 0.025; The zeta = -24.2 ± 1.04 (MV); Liposome efficiency reaches 55.3%. The product is evaluated on HEPG2 liver cancer cells, showing the ability to absorb active ingredients significantly to about 8.83 ± 0.97 ng/105 cells compared to 2ng/105 cells
- Successfully researched the technological process and model of 10kg pilot -scale pilot equipment system/ batch extract and purify murrayafoline A from Glycosmis stenocarpa  roots. The process and system of equipment operate stably with an average efficiency of> 95% and the purity reaches> 98%. Murrayafoline A products ensure safety criteria as prescribed by the Ministry of Health
- Successfully researched and prepared for oral tablets containing Murrayafoline A Nano Liposome. Products ensure safety criteria as prescribed by the Ministry of Health.
