Goal and objectives of the project - Treatment of livestock wastewater using microalgae-based system meets QCVN on quality of livestock wastewater.
Main results

- Theoretical results:
+ Successfully designed and installed a laboratory scale livestock wastewater treatment system combining high rate algal pond and three different constructed wetland systems with a total capacity of 15 L/day.
+ Evaluation of the effect of inlet water flow and rotation speed on the flow regime of high rate algae pond as well as the effects of different types of constructed wetlands and inlet water flow on flow regime of the system.
+ Successfully researched and selected the optimal microalgae for livestock wastewater treatment.
+ Application of selected microalgae in the high rate algal pond system for real livestock wastewater treatment with the efluent meeting Vietnamese Standard (QCVN). The output water of the high rate algal pond is further treated by three different constructed wetland systems. Evaluation and comparison of the effects of different types of tectonic wetlands on the efficiency of livestock wastewater treatment of the combined system.
