Goal and objectives of the project

- Clarifying the Reactivation of the Fault System in the Western Part of the South China Sea.
- Assessment, zoning and forecasting of related geological hazards that may occur in the Western Part of the South China Sea.

Main results

Theoretical results: This products of the project is of great service to organization research of geological structure, finding marine minerals, geological hazard mitigation, protection of Vietnam's marine sovereignty.
Applied results: Providing scienctific database for organization research on geology, mineral and scientists, ministries, protection Vietnam's marine sovereignty.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

Contribution to unravel the geological characteristics that directly related to economic and social activities such as the protection of the marine environment, contact information, mineral exploration, ensuring the security of island-sea's sovereignty and warning of geological hazard.
