Goal and objectives of the project | The objective of the project is to give the structure of fucoidans that are extracted from some brown algae, and to study the radiosensitizing activity of natural fucoidan and their modified derivatives products for drugs and supplements preparation that support for cancer treatment.
|
Main results | The results of the study have provided data on the structure and radiosensitizing activity of fucoidan extracted from seaweed species of the family Sargassaceae. The results added to the collection of marine microorganisms of 35 strains of marine bacteria isolated from sponges collected in Khanh Hoa and Binh Thuan sea. Preliminarily determined the catalytic properties of enzymes extracted from selected marine bacteria strain with high activity on fucoidan substrates from S. oligocystum.
