Main results | Theoretical results: + Isolated and determined the structure of 20 compounds: turgidol (1), lupeol (2), lupenone (3), betulin (4), betulinic acid (5), taxarexol (6), tangeretin (7), diosmetin (8), luteolin (9), aloe-emodin (10), emodin 11-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (11) (+)-dehydrovomifoliol (12), (3S,5R,6R,7E,9S)-megastiman-7-ene-3,5,6,9-tetrol (13), β-sitosterol (14), daucosterol (15), (+)-syringaresinol (16), harpagoside (17), 10-hydroxyaloin A (18), 10-hydroxyaloin B (19), and martynoside (20). In particular, all these substances were new in the Phlogacanthus turgidus species. Structure (1) has still been identified as a new compound. For the first time, compounds 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, and 19 from the Phlogacanthus genus have been reported, and the presence of anthraquinones and anthrones in the Phlogacanthus genus were, too. + The cytotoxic activity on 4 cancer lines: Hep3B, A549, Hela, and MCF-7 was showed that the extract with EtOH, CHCl3, and EtOAc gave IC50 from 26.85 to 89.13 mg/mL. + The cytotoxic activity of compounds 2, 3, 4, 5, and 20 on three cancer lines: MCF-7, Hela, and HepG2, were shown and gave IC50 from 3.52 to 25.34 μg/mL. Next, compound (10) against breast cancer line MCF-7 and liver HepG2 with IC50 values of 78.18 and 84.56 μg/ mL, respectively, while compound (1) gave cytotoxic to MCF-7 with IC50 of 81.23 μg/mL + Developed a product process on extracts with cytotoxic activity. Conditions of the process: solvent of EtOH 70%, solid/liquid ratio of 1:12, extraction temperature of 80oC, time of 120 minutes.. + Developed basic standards of products. + The safety of the product has been evaluated, and if the dose is 24.0 g of dry extract/kg, it is no happen acute toxicity. |
