Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

This synthetic research report presented the research and construction of the information-oriented IoT system for users. In particular, the Beacon-ID device is a compact device that can be mounted behind the shelves in supermarkets or exhibits in museums,…. A software installed on mobile devices or tablets used to communicate with these devices by Bluetooth technology and display query data from the software on the cloud server corresponding to Beacon-ID on the screen.
The project has observed several main results:
- Successful design and development of a Beacon-ID identifier using a low-energy Bluetooth wireless standard which has a compact size with transmission data format complying with iBeacons and Eddystone standards, using low energy consumption components, low energy microprocessor chip, and suitable for climate conditions in Vietnam.
- Server software module deployed on a cloud server providing SaaS service providing the ability to store and receive queries from the application on a user's smart mobile device.
- The client software module, which is installed on the user's mobile device, has capable of communicating with the Beacon-ID identifier and sending data queries to the server software; receive and display corresponding data on the smart mobile device’s screen.
- Improving, installing and programming a method to improve distance calculation accuracy by real-time monitoring and correcting the received signal strength index (RSSI )of Beacon-IDs.
