Goal and objectives of the project | Research on chemical compositions and evaluation of biological activity of the fruits of Phyllanthus emblica (PE) for application in liver diseases treatment. |
Main results | Technological results: |
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results | - The PE extract from the fruits of Phyllanthus embica at the dose of 500 g/kg P/ day showed hepatoprotective effect by decreasing serum AST and ALT levels, MDA, LDH, cholesterol, bilirubin levels and partly reducing the liver injury in BALB/c mice induced hepatotoxicity by oral administration of liver highly-toxic CCl4. |
