Goal and objectives of the project

- Study on the fabrication of core-shell structure based on magneto – plasmonic for highly active surface – enhanced Raman scattering detection
- Use the magneto – plasmonic structure to detect of toxic residues in food.

Main results

- Theoretical results:
+ Successfully fabricated of SERS substrates based on iron oxide - gold, iron oxide - silver, silica - silver anisotrpic struture by seed-mediated growth.
+ Investigate the effect of the operating conditions to achieve the rough surface structure of Au and Ag which we can be found optimized condition to obtain the best structure for SERS application.
- Applied results:
+ Successfully used SERS subtrates based on iron oxide - gold, iron oxide - silver, silica - silver structure to detect R6G and found that R6G can be well detected using all of these substrates in the state purity (with the best detection limit for iron oxide - silver struture of 10-10 M, iron oxide - gold of 10-8 M and silica - silver of 10-9 M
+ Successfully used SERS substrate based on iron oxide – silver to detect thiram in apples. The result exhibited thiram can be well detected using iron oxide – silver, even at solute concentrations as low as 10-7 M.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

Successully fabricated SERS subtrates based on iron oxide - gold, iron oxide - silver, silica - silver structure by seed-mediated growth. By optimizing the operating conditions, we were able to the rough suface for SERS application. The iron oxide – silver struture was used for SERS detection of thiram in apple amd the detection limit as found to be easily decreased down to 10-7 M.
