Theoretical results: The results of the project have assessed the presence of microplastics in the marine environment in Hai Phong - Quang Ninh. The method of sample collection, analysis, and assessment of microplastics in water, sediment, and biological environments was developed. The data of the project is important to science with information on the impact of microplastic waste on the environment, and developing microplastic pollutant transmission models in the future.
Applied results: The results are important scientific information in assessing the level of plastic waste pollution in the environment, therefore assessing the impact of plastic waste on the marine environment. In especially, the area of Bach Dang and Cua Luc estuaries is the place where many wastewaters of many industries, to help assess microplastics in water, sediment, biological environments, therefore to help management to plastic waste to environmental protection in the environment and ecosystem marine.
