- To comprehensively and fully evaluate the main results on natural science, social science and science and technology of the Tay Nguyen Program 2016-2020 to meet the program's objectives.
- Proposing solutions to improve the efficiency of use and application of science and technology results of the Tay Nguyen Program 2016-2020 into practical socio-economic life in for sustainable development and assurance of national defense and security in Tay Nguyen.
- To synthetically and comprehensively evaluate the scientific and technological research achievements of the Tay Nguyen Program for the 2011-2020 period as a scientific basis for the strategy to the development of socio-economic, ensuring Tay Nguyen national defense and security for the whole period of 2021-2030 as well as the plan of 2021-2025.

- Theoretical results:
The NV02 project does not only synthesize, analyze and evaluate the results of the Tay Nguyen Program 2016 - 2020, but also links and integrates with the existing results of the Tay Nguyen Program 3 (phase 2011 – 2015) to clearly express the overall picture of the natural conditions, socio-economic, defense and security, natural resources, environment etc of Tay Nguyen in the current period; establish a relatively complete scientific basis for orientations for conservation and development of heritage values of the Tay Nguyen natural resources, development of high-tech agricultural production and other economic sectors with another strength of Tay Nguyen.
The aggregated results of the Tay Nguyen Program throughout 10 years from 2011 to 2020 provide a scientific basis for strategic orientations as well as specific plans for sustainable development of Tay Nguyen in the context of the widespread international integration in the region and the world.
- Applied results:
The results of the Program closely follow the approved objectives, content and registered products, as well as the reality of Tay Nguyen region. The results also showthe abilities of integrating interdisciplinary value to serve the sustainable socio-economic development in Tay Nguyen region. The research results serve as a basis for Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology to transfer technology into practice in Tay Nguyen region.

After more than 5 years of implementation, up to now, 32/32 projects have been accepted at the national level (reaching 100%). The results obtained in the Tay Nguyen Program 2016-2020 are very positive. Some results were soon put into production. Many new databases of the Program on water, soil, biological resources, as well as new findings on issues related to international integration, etc. can be consulted and usedfor the socio-economic development and environmental protection, especially in promoting the strengths of natural resources, conservation and development of natural, cultural and historical heritage values of the Tay Nguyen region. Although the results of science and technology are just the beginning, they already show potential contributions to the development of a high-tech and sustainable agriculture in Tay Nguyen. It must be recognized that the initial results on science and technology obtained by the Program have a high scientific basis and are reliable in application to the practical socio-economic life of Tay Nguyen .
