Goal and objectives of the project

- Evaluation of the effectiveness of isostatic hot-press sintering and plasma pulse sintering in sintering FeSi soft magnetic materials and FeSiBAlNiMo system high entropy materials.
- Publishing research results in specialized domestic and international journals (under the list of SCI-E) through research cooperation on issues related to the process of material agglomeration and the correlation between materials, specifications to the mechanical and physical properties of the material.
- Contributing to  training and promoting cooperation between VAST and SAS as well as improving the research capacity of the research team.

Main results

- Two techniques including hot isostatic pressing and spark plasma sintering can be used for sintering the Fe-6.5Si alloy achieves a high density of 98-99% and thus can maintain the magnetic properties of the material such as saturation magnetism and coercivity.
- High entropy FeNiCoAl0.8 Mo0.2Si0.8B0.2 alloy has been fabricated by powder metallurgy method combining HIP and SPS sintering. The high-entropy alloy FeNiCoAl0.8 Mo0.2Si0.8B0.2 after fabrication has a main phase composition of BCC and an FCC. Increasing the sintering temperature and time increases the possibility of FCC phase formation as well as the alloy density.
- In this study, we also present the results of fabrication of FeNiCoSi0.25Alx  alloy (x = 0-1) by arc melting method, the results show that the structure and magnetic properties of the alloy depend on the amount of Al introduced.

Recommendations

The obtained results in this research show that FeNiCoAl0.8 Mo0.2Si0.8B0.2 and of FeNiCoSi0.25Alx(x=0¬1) high entropy alloys have good potential to serve as soft magnetic materials. However, the deeply researchs need to be carried our. So, we suggest that the researchs on these high entropy alloys should be continue.
