Goal and objectives of the project

Determination of botanical properties, biological activity and manufacture of hepatoprotective product from genus Helicteres in Dak Nong province.

Main results

Theoretical results:
- Seven species in genus Helicteres have identified in Daknong province. Among them, Helicteres daknongensis is a new discovered species.
- Helicteres isora L. is the best hepatoprotective species among the collected ones.
- We have established of standard of H. isora L. extract based on Vietnamese Pharmacopoeia V.
- A process for preparing film-coated tablets containing H. isora L. extract has been established.
Applied results: The process of preparing film coated tablets containing H. isora L. extract has been applied at Gene World company.
