Goal and objectives of the project

-    Study on the chemical composition of the buds of Tetradium ruticarpum in Vietnam.
-    Investigation of the PTP1B and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of the compounds isolated.

Main results

Theoretical results:
-    Scientific name of the plant material and deposited plant materials with voucher specimen.
-    11 chemical structure with pure compound materials isolated from Tetradium ruticarpum.
-    The PTP1B and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities result of 11 isolates.
-    The inhibitory activity result of isolated compounds on human breast cancer cells (MCF7 and MCF/TAMR).
-    In silico study result of some isolated compounds with protein PTP1B and α-glucosidase by molecular docking simulation using AutoDock software.
Applied results:
-    05 gram of two major active compounds from Tetradium ruticarpum.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

-    This is the first time that the chemical constituents of Tetradium ruticarpum and their biological activities (PTP1B and α-glucosidase inhibitory effects) have been studied. In addition to in silico study of the isolated compounds with protein PTP1B and α-glucosidase by molecular docking simulation
-    The inhibitory activity of some isolated compounds on human breast cancer cells (MCF7, MCF/TAMR) has also studied.
-    Education result: 01 master and 01 student majored in organic chemistry are educated.
