• Construction of 15 soil monoliths for exhibition and 180 soil monoliths for research).
• Analysis of physical- chemical properties of 8 types of soil was collected within phase 1.

Main results

Specimen and sample collections:
• Collected 10 types of soil at Dong Nai and Ninh Thuan province
• Constructed 15 soil monoliths for exhibition and 180 soil monoliths for research
• Analyzed physical- chemical properties of 8 types of soil that was collected within phase 1.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

For the first time, build a collection of soil samples for the Region of South Central and South of Vietnam using new, modern methods and comply with international standards. The results can be used for research, exhibiton and exchange science with world soil museums.

Products of the project

- Collected samples/specimens for exhibition in comparison with the plan approved in 2020: 17 soil monoliths for exhibition (excess 2 soil monoliths for exhibition in comparison with the approved plan and budget by the end of 2020).
- Collected samples/specimens for scientific research in comparison with the plan approved in 2020: 180 soil monoliths for research (enough in comparison with the approved plan and budget by the end of 2020).
- Product details (concise description of each collection):
•    17 soil monoliths for exhibition, dimension (length × width × thickness): 1,3 m × 0,3 m ×0,03 m
•    180 soil monoliths for research, dimension (length × width × thickness): 17,5 cm × 6 cm × 2 cm
•    These samples are currently being kept at the Soil Museum of the Soils and Fertilizers Research Institute, Hanoi.
