Goal and objectives of the project

Overall objective:
Evaluating the effects of simulated microgravity on the cytoskeletal alterations using 3D clinostat simulator
Specific objectives:
- Design and manufacturing 3D clinostat microgravity simulator
- Estimating the effecs of simulated microgravity on the proliferation and cytoskeleton alteration in human messenchymal stem cells, liver cells and fibroblast by using 3D clinostat simulator.

Main results

- Product type I (equipment): 3D clinostat was designed and manufactured to induce the simulated microgravity. This 3D clinostat can induce the simulated microgravity from  10-3 G to 0.9 G and operate in CO2 incubator for 72 h. This simulator can be used not only for cell culture research, but also for other biological study on microorganisms, plants and animals.
- Product type II (operating principle reports, methods, design drawings and technology): full quantity and types according registration.
- Product type III (fully published and exceeded): published 4 international articles (2 articles indexed in SCIE), and 2 domestic articles.
Training products (fully accorded and exceeded): completed the training of 1 master and supported the training of 2 PhD students.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

- Design and manufacturing 3D clinostat microgravity simulator which was used for experiments on animal cells.
- Determination of the effects of simulated microgravity on cell proliferation
- Determination of the effects of simulated microgravity on cytoskeletal alterations, including microfilament and microtuble.
- Contributing to training poastgraducate education and publication.
