Main results | Theoretical results: + Thematic scientific research reports include: 62 reports + General process for building seasonal distribution of SAV maps: A case study of Khanh Hoa coastal province, Central Vietnam. + Building an open-source firmware (GPU4RS) for visualization, processing satellite remote sensing based on the GPU platform. + Training 02 Masters of Science and support 01 Doctoral candidate. + Hosting and coordinating to organize 03 scientific conferences + Exchange of scientific research results at Osaka University, Japan. + Building WebGIS database for the project. + Organize the technology transfer of the project’s results. Applied results: The project has transferred 02 products to the Department of Science and Technology of Khanh Hoa province: 1) 03 submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) distribution maps at the 1:50,000 scale in the sunny season, rainy season and an entire year). 2) 15 SAV distribution maps at the 1:25,000 scale of 5 key regions of Khanh Hoa province (Van Phong Bay, Nha Phu lagoon - Ninh Hoa district, Nha Trang Bay, Bai Dai – Thuy Trieu Lagoon and Cam Ranh Bay) in the sunny season, in the rainy season, in the entire year. |
Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results | Applying remote sensing technology and general-purpose graphics processing units (GPGPU) techniques can improve the remote sensing image processing speed when assessing the current status, distribution, and changes of undersea vegetation. . Developed a dataset of submerged aquatic vegetation maps in Khanh Hoa province; Project on proposing solutions for the protection and sustainable exploitation of marine plant resources. Using remote sensing technology and GPU computing technology can accelerate remote sensing image processing to support for assessing the current status, distribution and changes of SAV. Developing a set of SAV maps in Khanh Hoa province. Proposing solutions for the protection and sustainable exploitation of SAV The results of this study would support the investigation, monitoring, and management of SAV effective, reducing costs, time, and accuracy. |
