Goal and objectives of the project

- Establishing the process of the application of machine learning technology,  artificial intelligence models and  GIS in the assessment of coastal erosion.
- Clearify the hazard  of coastal erosion in Quang Nam and surrounding areas with machine learning technology, artificial intelligence. Proposal of preventive measures.

Main results

Theoretical results:
- Establishing the process of the application of machine learning technology, artificial intelligence models, and  GIS in the assessment of coastal erosion.
- Assessment of coastal erosion characteristics of Quang Nam and the neighboring area based on building a map of coastal erosion-sensitive zoning by integrating machine learning technology, artificial intelligence at scale 1: 50,000, and proposal of measures to prevent erosion.   
Applied results:
- Provide methods and technological process of assessment of coastal erosion based on the application of machine learning technology,  artificial intelligence models, and GIS integration.
- Provide scientific data for investigating, surveying, and assessment of coastal erosion in Quang Nam and neighboring areas.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

- Propose a application of research method and assessment of coastal erosion based on the application of machine learning technology, artificial intelligence models, and GIS. This method shows the predictive capacity of the models of artificial intelligence in assessing coastal erosion in the study area, in which the forecasting capacity of the CGLWL model is the best and can be used in the assessment and of coastal erosion for the reduction of Disaster and minimizes the damage caused by coastal erosion.
- Proposal of the results applied this research process to assess coastal erosion of Quang Nam and neighboring regions.
