- Giving an assessment of the current status of natural resources, environment, natural disasters, economy and society and the situation of agro-forestry production models in the Ba and Kon river basins;
- Building a model for the inter-regional territorial organization linking the Central Highlands with the South Central region of the river basins for the agroforestry value chain.

Theoretical results: The project has achieved the following main results:
1) Establishing the scientific arguments for the inter-regional territorial organization of the Central Highlands - South Central region according to river basins (case studies on Ba and Kon river basins);
2) Giving an assessment of the current situation of natural resources, environment, and natural disasters of the Ba and Kon river basins;
3) Calculating and analysing for the regulation and distribution of water resources of the Central Highlands - South Central region of the Ba and Kon river basins taking into account the latest climate change scenario of Vietnam;
4) Giving the assessment of the socio-economic status, the current status of agricultural and forestry production; the status of regional linkages in the management of natural resources, environment, natural disasters, and agricultural commodities of Ba and Kon river basins;
5) Building 2 models of the inter-regional territorial organization of the Central Highlands - South Central region of the Ba and Kon river basins with the value chain of plantation timber and sugar cane;
6) Proposing some orientations for building an institutional framework of regional linkages and giving some solutions to implement the 2 models of the inter-regional territorial organization of the Central Highlands - South Central region of the Ba and Kon river basins with the value chain of plantation timber and sugar cane;
7) Completing and synchronizing the GIS database on resources, natural environment, natural disasters, agroforestry production, meeting the requirements of updating and convenient data exploitation for the inter-regional territorial organization of the Central Highlands - South Central region of the Ba and Kon river basins for the sustainable development of agriculture and forestry;
Applied results:
The project has provided the data sources, the scientific basis for Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, Dak Lak provinces for reference and use for territorial planning, rational exploitation of water and land resources, human resources... to form regional linkages of the agricultural product value chain, to strengthen the capacity to respond to natural disasters, to serve the sustainable socio-economic development of the locality.

- Providing a scientific basis to form inter-regional economic development zones in accordance with the law of territorial geographical structure according to river basins between the Central Highlands and the South Central region; establish a sustainable agro-forestry production model on the basis of strengthening regional linkages, responding to climate change
- Building a database on natural conditions, natural resources, environment, natural disasters, agroforestry production activities, ensuring synchronization, updating, and standardization, meeting the needs of connection with electronic Atlas of the Central Highlands and the local use.

The Project TN18/T11 has published 18 scientific articles, including 04 international articles with SCOPUS and ISI indexes, 02 scientific articles in national and specialized scientific journals, and 12 articles in various journals National and international scientific conferences and seminars.

The project has completed 06 products according to the explanation and summary report, 01 monograph manuscript, and 01 Atlas (including 32 thematic maps). The database system includes files about reports, maps in shapefile format, images, statistics, video clips... The products of this project are archived at the Office of the Central Highlands Project 2016-2020, the Center for Scientific Information of VAST, the National Department of Science and Technology Information of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, and the Office of Research Affairs and International Relations of Quy Nhon University.

The results of the project have been used by Quy Nhon University, Institute of Geography of VAST, Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology of South Central Coast, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Province Phu Yen, Gia Lai…
