Goal and objectives of the project

- Building an ecological engineering platform SMART GARDEN applying automatic mini sensor development technology with automatic probes to collect data for improving treatment of quality wastewater from wastewater treatment plant of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
- Using the platform SMART GARDEN in research and teaching at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi to engage the university in a green and smart international strategy in cooperation with universities

Main results

- Theoretical results: has built an ecological engineering platform to improve the quality of wastewater of the wastewater treatment plant of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in combination with the application of mini sensors with probes to automatically collect data from the platform.
- Applied results: used the platform to teach and to do practices for undergraduate and master students of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

Designed to connect a mini sensor to measure a number of environmental factors with the module to automatically collect data from the improved wastewater quality treatment plant of VAST.

1. Ecological engineering platforms: built at the wastewater treatment station of VAST
2. Mini sensor combined with automatic data acquisition module, currently being kept by Department of Water - Environment - Oceanography
- Education: 02 Master students (01 M2 student and 01 M1 student) and 01 Bachelor student

Research area

This is a promising model for wastewater treatment, if it is initially successful at VAST, it can be deployed to expand the model for localities throughout the country, especially supporting the management and use. environmental sustainability

Recommendations

The platforms can be used to study the ecological engineering mechanism to remove pollutants: nutrients, heavy metals, pesticides, detergents.
Experience platform for research and innovation in topics of environmental science and eco-engineering, along with internet-connected sensors to control and manage environmental parameters in ecological engineering systems.
