| Goal and objectives of the project | - Develop the cooperation relationships in research and training with Belarus partners to improve the research capacity of Vietnamese scientists.

| Main results | The SNP/PLA nanocomposites with different concentrations of silver nanoparticles were synthesized by the melt-blending method. Meanwhile, the homogeneous ultrathin films of SNP/PLA nanocomposite with a thickness of 100-700 nm were prepared by spin-coating technique. UV-Vis spectra and AFM images demonstrated that SNPs were well-dispersed in the PLA matrix with slight aggregations. The mechanical properties of the films were guaranteed for processing and biomedical applications. The films exhibited the highest antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, followed by E. Coli, while the lowest activity was observed against B. subtilis.

| Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results | Ultrathin films of SNP/PLA nanocomposites with the different concentrations of silver were successfully synthesized. The homogeneous ultrathin films have good antibacterial properties even at low silver nanoparticles concentration, thus opening up the potential for biomedical applications.
