Main results

- Theoretical results:
+ Having built up the fingerprinting chromatography condition by HPLC system and established the HPLC chromatographic fingerprint data set of Eurycoma longifolia Jack medicinal herbs.
+ Constructing qualitative and quantitative methods of canthin-6-one and 9,10-dimethoxycanthin-6-one simultaneously by HPLC. The method has high linearity with correlation coefficient R2 ≥ 0.9990, good repeatability (with RSD value% <5.3%). The method is highly sensitive, assuring testing requirements with limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantity (LOQ) of canthin-6-one and 9,10-dimethoxycanthin-6-one standards, respectively LOD: 2.75 - 3.44 µg / mL, LOQ: 8.33 - 10.43 µg / mL). At the same time, a constructive method has been applied to evaluate the content of canthin-6-one and 9,10-dimethoxycanthin-6-one in some samples from Eurycoma longifolia Jack medicinal herbs.
+ In the process for isolated and identified structure chemical constituens of Eurycoma longifolia Jack, two compounds had large-quality were determined as canthin-6-one (532,5 mg) and 9,10-dimethoxycanthin-6-one (568,2 mg).
+ Identified of physical and chemical criteria: sensory criteria and UV spectroscopy, weight loss due to drying and purity of two canthin-6-one  and 9,10-dimethoxycanthin-6-one by HPLC method.
+ The optimal conditions for HPLC chromatographic analysis have been established, a detailed set of records on the set up of Cyperus rotundus medicinal herb chromatographic fingerprints by HPLC-DAD-MS system and applied in analysis evaluation of ingredients  this herbal ingredients by algorithm and statistics.
- Applied results:
+ The project has built up the condition of fingerprint chromatography and set up the chromatographic fingerprint data set of Eurycoma longifolia Jack  herbs by HPLC system that can be used for the quality assessment of this medicinal herbs.
+ The project was finded conditions for HPLC chromatographic analysis have been established, and a detailed set of records chromatographic fingerprinting of the species Cyperus rotundus has been established by using HPLC-DAD-MS system, the same algorithm and statistical method applied to analysis and evaluation of Cyperus rotundus medicinal herbs.

 

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

+ From the species Eurycoma longifolia Jack was isolated and determined the structure of a new compound with quassinoid skeleton with named as eurylongilactone A.
+ Build up fingerprint chromatographic condition by HPLC system and set up HPLC chromatographic fingerprint data set of  Eurycoma longifolia Jack medicinal herbs that can be applied to assess the quality of this medicinal herbs.
 + Setting up optimal HPLC chromatographic analysis conditions, building a detailed set up chromatographic fingerprint settings of Cyperus rotundus medicinal  herb by  using HPLC-DAD-MS system, applied for ingredient analysis of this medicinal herbs.
