Goal and objectives of the project

-    To develop of the fabrication technology of highly efficient light emitting diodes based on semiconductor quantum dots.
-    To take advantages of each side in order to build an effective and sustainable international cooperation.

Main results

-    We have successfully synthesized high quality semiconductor quantum dots (CdTe/CdS, ZnSe..) emitting desired wavelengths.
-    We have studied optical characteristics of quantum dots in the gel solution and in the solid layer of the QD-LED.
-    We have optimized each part of the QD-LED.
-    We are improving the QD-LED fabrication technology in stages.

Recommendations

This project is a part of the LIA project (LIA - Laboratoire International Associé) named “Magnetic and Semiconducting Nano-Objects” (MASENO) which was established from January 2015 between Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). The aim of this project is to carry out the collaboration between two side on studying the fabrication of highly efficient light emitting diodes based on semiconductor quantum dots, in order to fulfill this aim, we have tried to conduct and complete each task of the project.
