- To evaluate the results after more than two years of implementingTay Nguyen Program 2016-2020 according to the approved objectives and contents as a basis for the management of the Program implementation.
- To determine the results that could soon be transferred to practice for socio-economic development of the Tay Nguyen region.
- To orientatethe implementation and preparation of necessary contents, plans and conditions for the Program review at the end of 2020.

- Theoretical results:
The project provides scientific arguments for regional connection and international integration in socio-economic development in Tay Nguyen region. The general assessment is not only about the results of science and technology, but also the work of developing and implementing topics, managing the implementation of the Program's tasks according to the approved objectives. These are important contents to learnfor achieving the best results, ensuring continued implementation and completion of the Program with high quality in the remaining time.

- Applied results:
The results of the Program closely follow the approved objectives, content and registered products, as well as the reality of Tay Nguyen region. The results also showthe abilities of integrating interdisciplinary value to serve the sustainable socio-economic development in Tay Nguyen region. The research results serve as a basis for Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology to transfer technology into practice in Tay Nguyen region.

After more than two years of implementation, the majority of the Program's topics are in the implementation phase. The general report of the results for the Program's preliminary will only be initial evaluations according to the approved objectives and contents. From this mid-term review, the results have been refined and qualified to transfer to Tay Nguyen provinces,especially applying of previous results, the use and updation of the integrated database on natural resources, environment, economy, society, new issues and and ensuring national security and defense in Tay Nguyen region, initial recommendations on strategic solutions for socio-economic development.
