Goal and objectives of the project

- Determines techonology solutions to manufature tissue scaffold using 3D printing technologies applied for biomedical implant manufacturing
- Trains and develops human resources in Bio-mechatronics

Main results

Theoretical results:
 This is the basis for tissue scaffold manufacturing study and cell culture on tissue scaffold in Vietnam applying 3D printing which can help to create transplant parts
- Trains and develops a research team. Besides that, provides common knowledge of mechatronics and biomedical technology
Applied results:
This achievement concretes a basis for other researches which aim:
 Helps to prolong human life and get more time to wait for implants (ex: Heart transplant)
 Tremendously enhances the ability of selfcare for patients (ex: Artificial hand, Artificial leg...)
 Helps patient to gain confidence in comunity
 Restores aesthetics after cancer surgery or accident (ex: ear, nose...)
 Helps the disabilities fight against negative feelings and avoid discrimination from community

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

This project has some new contributions in the first combined study between biomedical technology and 3D printing in Vietnam.
